Notice was provided that a hearing would be held at 6:00 p.m. local time, at the Educational Service Center, 627 4th Street, Sioux City, Iowa, on the 27th of November, 2016, to receive public input on the District’s proposed 2018-2019 School Calendar. 

 

Any interested party may appear and file objections and any information for or against same will be heard on the above-named School Calendar with the final decision of the Board of Education a matter of record.

RECOMMENDATION:  That the Board of Directors approves the District’s 2018-2019 school calendar and acknowledges the 2019-2020 and 2020-2021 school calendars.

C.Transportation Program Review – Brian Burnight, Jen Gomez, Brian Fahrendholz and Jim Vanderloo

RECOMMENDATION:  That the Board of Directors acknowledges the recommendations set forth in the Transportation Program Review.


D.Approve the Purchase and Acquisition of 1909 Jackson Street - Brian Fahrendholz

RECOMMENDATION:  That the Board of Directors approves the purchase and acquisition of 1909 Jackson Street, Sioux City, Iowa, currently owned by Lou L. and Janice R. Hansen, for the purchase price of $170,000.00, which includes relocation and moving expenses.


E.FY19 PPEL Fund and Sales Tax Fund Revenue and Expenditure Budgets and the Five-Year Plan for Capital Projects – Patty Blankenship, Brian Fahrendholz and Kathy Bottaro

RECOMMENDATION:  That the Board of Directors acknowledges the FY19 PPEL Fund and Sales Tax Fund revenue and expenditure budgets and the five-year plan for capital projects.


F.Hunt Elementary School Projected Student Capacity – Brian Burnight

RECOMMENDATION:  That the Board of Directors approves the recommendation to design and construct a new two-story Hunt Elementary School.
