RECOMMENDATION:  That the Board of Directors enter into closed session as provided by Iowa Code Sections 21.5(1)(a) to review or discuss records which are required or authorized by law to be kept confidential and Iowa Code Section 21.5(1)(c) to discuss strategy with counsel in matters that are presently in litigation or where litigation is imminent.  The District’s legal counsel present for this session, either in person or by electronic means, is Katherine Beenken, Ahlers & Cooney, P.C.

RECOMMENDATION:  That the Board of Directors go into closed session to consider the enrollment or educational placement of an individual who is required to register as a sex offender under Iowa Code Chapter 692A.  Such closed session is authorized by Iowa Code Section 21.5(1)(a) to review or discuss records which are required or authorized by law to be kept confidential.

RECOMMENDATION:  That in accordance with Iowa Code Section 282.9, the Board of Directors determine the enrollment or placement of the student who was the subject of the immediately preceding closed session.
