BELOW IS A LIST OF WHAT THE BOARD HAS ACCOMPLISHED IN THE TWO YEARS I HAVE SERVED.
RETURN TO MORE TRADITIONAL CURRICULUM TO POSITIVELY IMPACT THE STUDENTS.
RETENTION OF CURRENT TEACHERS AND THE RECRUITMENT OF NEW TEACHERS.
TEACHERS ARE GIVEN THE TOOLS TO BE SUCCESSFUL.
IMPLEMENTING THE BEST PRACTICES FOR TEACHERS TO PROVIDE A POSITIVE ENVIRONMENT TO LEARN.
REBUILD THE DISCIPLINE SYSTEM.
IMPLEMENTATION OF THE CELL PHONE POLICY.
REBUILD OF ELL AND SPECIAL EDUCATION PROGRAMS. THAT'S ONGOING STILL, WE'RE NOT GOING TO GIVE UP NEGOTIATING WITH RESPECT.

LARGEST PAY INCREASES THE LAST TWO YEARS OUT OF ABOUT THE LAST 15.THE NEW ENVIRONMENT, WHICH IS NOW PRESENT IN THE DISTRICT IS APPARENT AND VISUAL.
AS PRESIDENT, I KNOW NOT EVERYONE WILL AGREE WITH MY VIEWPOINT AND THAT'S OKAY.
EVERYONE'S VIEWPOINTS NEEDS TO BE HEARD AND DISCUSSED.
I BELIEVE IN THE ADMINISTRATION.
I BELIEVE IN THE PARAPROFESSIONALS, I BELIEVE IN THE STAFF.
AND MOST IMPORTANTLY, I BELIEVE IN THE STUDENTS OF THIS DISTRICT.
I DO NOT SEEK LEADERSHIP FOR ACKNOWLEDGMENT.
I SEEK THE POSITION TO LEAD TO BE THE BEST DISTRICT IN THE STATE OF IOWA.
MY PERSONAL MOTTO IS MY VISION IS MY MISSION.
I WILL ALWAYS WORK TO IMPROVE THE LEARNING AND WORKING ENVIRONMENT OF THIS DISTRICT.

FOR EXAMPLE, WHEN I SERVED AS BOARD PRESIDENT FOR SAINT LUKE'S HEALTH FOUNDATION AND SIOUXLAND MENTAL HEALTH CENTER BOARD, AND AS WELL THE WOODBURY COUNTY TAX RESEARCH COUNCIL, MY ROLE WAS TO FACILITATE FAIR AND ORDERLY DISCUSSION IN MEETINGS SO THAT ALL COULD BE HEARD, AND THAT THE BOARD COULD CONFER TO THE POINT OF REACHING A DECISION ON TOPICS BEFORE THE BOARD.
